ViiV Healthcare (GSK) Senior Manager, External Affairs Giving

Senior Manager, External Affairs Giving Responsibilities Execute ViiV Healthcare’s U.S. community investment strategy by identifying, evaluating, recommending, and managing grants and strategic partnerships. Evaluate grant proposals (organizational capacity, budgets, and program plans) to make funding recommendations. Conduct organizational/program/community assessments to align investments with priorities and community need. Partner with nonprofits and external stakeholders to strengthen HIV prevention, treatment, retention in care, health equity, advocacy, workforce development, and community infrastructure. Manage a portfolio of community investments; cultivate relationships with nonprofit and public health leaders. Gather/synthesize community intelligence to inform investment strategy and recommendations. Monitor portfolio performance and impact metrics; develop dashboards, reports, and executive updates. Support strategic giving initiatives and capacity‑building efforts (e.g., workforce/leadership development, technology adoption, health equity, resilience). Oversee grant governance/compliance across lifecycle (recommendations, approvals, contracting, monitoring, reporting, closeout) and support audit readiness. Represent the company at conferences, advisory boards, and stakeholder events; support presentations and thought leadership. Qualifications (Required) Bachelor’s degree. 5+ years of HIV experience in philanthropy, grantmaking, nonprofit leadership, public health, healthcare, community engagement, or related field. Experience evaluating funding opportunities and managing grant/community portfolios. Experience building relationships with nonprofits and diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives. Strong written/verbal communication, presentation, analytical, and project management skills. Domestic travel ~25–35%. Qualifications (Preferred) Advanced degree (MPH, MPA, MBA, DrPH, MSW, or related). Experience in HIV/infectious disease/public health/health equity/healthcare access. Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and organizational assessment. Corporate philanthropy/CSR experience. Familiarity with grants systems, impact measurement frameworks, and portfolio analytics. Experience presenting to senior leadership and governance committees.
