Medical AssistantSanto Niño Health Center is seeking a reliable and professional Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Candidates must be willing to perform both front and back office duties and be cross-trained in multiple areas as needed.SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday with the hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PMResponsibilitiesGreet and check in patients while providing professional and courteous customer serviceSchedule appointments, answer phones, and maintain accurate patient records and demographic informationObtain and document vital signs, medical histories, height, and weightEscort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for provider evaluationsAssist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, and patient careAdminister medications and injections as directed by providersCollect, prepare, and document laboratory specimens for testingOperate diagnostic equipment including EKG, ICG, and PFT machinesProcess prescriptions, referrals, authorizations, and related documentationAccurately document patient encounters and provide scribe support as needed within the electronic health record (EHR) systemMaintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulationsMaintain exam room cleanliness, monitor medical supplies, and assist with overall clinic organizationPerform both front and back office duties and cross-train in multiple departments as neededRequirementsMedical Assistant certificate or diploma requiredKnowledge of medical terminology and clinical proceduresStrong communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsExperience with EHR systems and standard office equipment preferredAbility to work professionally with patients, providers, and staffBilingual preferred (if applicable)Santo Niño Health Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable federal, state, or local law.
