Director of Therapy Development

Lumira Search is partnered with a US-based medical device start-up in the tricuspid space. Our client has developed an innovative transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) system for the treatment of tricuspid regurgitation (TR). The company is venture-backed and is led by an accomplished C-suite with numerous exits under their belts. We are looking to hire a Director of Therapy Development on the West Coast (Ideally California) to lead procedural strategy and physician engagement for the TTVR system through its Early Feasibility Study (EFS), supporting cases in the Cath-lab, training implanting teams, and turn early clinical learnings into device and workflow improvements. This is a hands-on position that will provide you the opportunity to wear multiple hats, work cross functionally and gain exposure to other areas of the business (R&D etc.). The environment is fast-paced and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in early stage start-ups. Requirements: Be based on the West Coast and comfortable with high travel (up to 85%) At least 10 years experience in interventional cardiology At least 5 years experience with transcatheter valve technologies (TTVR, TAVR, TMVR) Strong network of interventional cardiologists Experience scaling a therapy development or clinical field team from early feasibility into pivotal and commercial stages. Strong knowledge of cardiac imaging used in structural procedures, particularly TEE, with an understanding of ICE, fluoroscopy, and CT-based pre-procedural planning Please note: Due to the high anticipated volume of applicants, I'm simply unable to respond to all.
