Position Summary... What you’ll do Provides member service. Maintains the checkout area. Resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam’s Club products and services. Provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology. Processes member purchases. Assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps. Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise. Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management. Maintains entrance areas; acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, identifies member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, promotes company products, arranges and organizes merchandise, assists members with transporting items, and maintains a safe shopping environment. Maintains exit areas; reviews member receipts; acknowledges the member and identifies member needs; secures and safeguards Sam’s Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activity according to company policies; maintains paperwork, logs, and other documentation; executes emergency response procedures; ensures compliance with company security and safety practices. Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teaches new technology and tool functionality, delivers new program rollout training, and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities. Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies by properly handling returns; zones the area; arranges and organizes merchandise; identifies shrink and damages. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices. Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress and information; determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
