About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Public Relations, with a focus on the Private Equity sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing media relations and communications within the private equity platform, which encompasses a significant number of portfolio companies. This role involves working closely with the firm's private equity business units on media strategy, specific transaction communications, and managing a range of public affairs activities. The VP will also be expected to act as a firm spokesperson, handle press events, and draft various communication materials. Strong news judgment, storytelling, and messaging skills are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Applicants for the VP position should have a minimum of 7 years' of relevant experience, with a preference for those who have worked in the financial industry, particularly in private equity or with deal experience. The role requires a proactive individual with a proven track record in developing and managing media relations, strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The VP will be expected to have a hands-on approach, be highly organized, and possess strong interpersonal skills to interact with senior-level employees and external contacts. Experience in managing reputational risk and advising on communication strategy is also a key qualification for this role.
