Position Overview

Our organization is in search of a Geriatric Section Head to spearhead our expanding program within the Division of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics & Palliative Care. This individual will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy aimed at delivering exceptional clinical care, education, and research for older adults across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and home environments. The perfect candidate will be a compassionate, patient-focused team player and a leader eager to nurture the next generation of healthcare professionals while addressing the needs of our aging patient population.

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with Geriatric Fellowship training
• Eligibility for medical licensure in South Carolina
• Proven leadership experience in academic settings, teaching, or research
• Collaborative and collegial attitude with a strong commitment to high-quality patient care
• Academic focus and enthusiasm for teaching
