Our client has built a reputation on quality and innovation and seeks a talented Buyer to join the team in Fresno, California.

Summary
The primary role of the Buyer is to provide coordination, purchasing, and communication with vendors, suppliers and internal customers in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive, self-starter attitude and a proven ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced production environment.

What You Will Do

• Performs procurement planning utilizing Excel dashboards
• Creates, submits, tracks and closes purchase requisitions and purchase orders
• Effectively communicates across multiple project teams, providing regular updates to internal teams and tracking order and delivery status with external vendors and suppliers
• Works with Planning Team to initiate stock transfers, inventory adjustments and communicates closely with inventory personnel
• Maintains Material Disposition Form (MDF) database and communicates status updates to plants and vendors
• Research vendors and collect prices, specifications and other data related to goods and services
• Establishes and maintains record keeping system for Purchasing department

What We Are Looking For

• BA/BS degree preferred
• 3+ years of working experience as a Buyer or Buyer's Assistant
• Strong time management skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work, and excel in a dynamic work environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Data Analysis, Reporting, Dashboards)
• Experience with document control and record management
• Effective scheduling and coordination skills
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English), helpful but not required
