Jewelry Sales Professional

Full Time | Onsite | Owensboro, Kentucky

$15.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience, plus additional performance-based earning opportunity

Our client, an established fine jewelry retailer in Owensboro, Kentucky, is seeking a relationship-driven Jewelry Sales Professional to join its showroom team.

This is a sales career opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding what matters to a customer, guiding meaningful purchases, and building relationships that generate repeat and referral business.

The successful candidate will take an active role in developing business through clienteling, personalized follow-up, appointment setting, and consistent attention to individual sales goals. Fine jewelry experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with measurable success in consultative sales, luxury retail, or other relationship-based sales environments are encouraged to apply.

• Build trust with customers through thoughtful discovery, active listening, product storytelling, and consultative selling.

• Guide customers through engagement rings, bridal jewelry, fine jewelry, watches, gifts, and other meaningful purchases.

• Develop and maintain a personal client base through proactive outreach, appointment setting, and personalized follow-up.

• Generate repeat and referral business by maintaining relationships beyond the initial transaction.

• Work toward individual sales goals and clearly defined performance expectations.

• Use customer information, preferences, and milestones appropriately to create relevant future sales opportunities.

• Respond to customer questions and objections with sound judgment, professionalism, and respect for the relationship.

• Participate in store events, trunk shows, promotions, and community outreach activities.

• Support merchandising, inventory handling, showroom presentation, and daily store operations.

• Collaborate with leadership and team members to contribute to overall store performance.

• At least 1 to 3 years of customer-facing, consultative, or relationship-based sales experience.

• Demonstrated ability to work toward sales goals, performance measures, or other results-based expectations.

• Examples of building customer relationships, earning repeat business, or generating referrals.

• A proactive sales mindset and willingness to create opportunities rather than wait for customer traffic.

• Professional communication, presentation, reliability, and accountability.

• Strong listening skills and the ability to connect products with a customer's preferences, needs, and story.

• Coachability, curiosity, and the ability to learn and retain detailed product information.

• Ability to work onsite in a structured retail environment, including every Saturday.

Jewelry experience is preferred but not required. Strong candidates may come from:

• Fine jewelry, bridal, luxury retail, watches, or prestige beauty

• Furniture, automotive, wireless, optical, or other consultative retail sales

• Banking, financial services, real estate, mortgage, or insurance

• Business development, account management, hospitality, concierge, or event services

• Onsite in Owensboro, Kentucky

• Tuesday through Friday: 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM

• Saturday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

• Closed Sunday and Monday

• Saturday availability is required as part of the regular schedule

• No travel required

• Hourly base of $15.00 to $20.00, depending on relevant experience

• Opportunity for additional performance-based earnings tied to sales results
