Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (Per Diem)

Per Diem Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) openings in Texarkana, TX Neonatal Nurse Practitioners will provide 24‑hour, in‑house coverage and care for preemies and term infants requiring mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide, oscillator ventilation, and total body cooling at Christus St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana, TX. The Level‑III NICU has 8 beds and the intermediate unit has 7 with an average daily census of 9 infants. The neonatologists see babies in the newborn nursery with approximately 2,100 deliveries annually. NNPs provide 24-hour, in-house coverage and also care for preemies and term babies who need mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide, oscillator ventilation and total body cooling. Qualifications Current APRN national specialty certification Minimum of a master’s degree and 1 year post-grad clinical experience required TX license or active IMLC preferred Certified NNP with recent experience required Pediatrix covers travel expenses (round-trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those residing outside commutable distance from the practice.
