divh2Patient Access Specialist - Remote/h2pHouston, United States of America | Full time | Home-based | R1544883/ppPatient Access Specialist/ppPosition Summary/ppThe Patient Access Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, and field representatives within a Patient Support Services (PSS) program. This role is responsible for facilitating patient access to therapy by conducting benefit investigations, verifying insurance eligibility, supporting prior authorizations and appeals, and assisting with copay and patient assistance programs. Patient Access Specialist support patients throughout their treatment journey while ensuring a high level of service, compliance, and coordination across stakeholders./ppJob Responsibilities/pulliServe as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and stakeholders/liliConduct inbound and outbound calls to support program services/liliPerform insurance benefit investigations and verify coverage/liliSupport prior authorizations and appeals processes/liliAssist with copay and patient assistance program enrollment/liliProvide ongoing patient support and adherence coordination/liliDocument all interactions accurately and timely/liliDeliver high-quality customer service across communication channels/liliCollaborate with field representatives and internal teams/liliManage patient caseloads with timely follow-up/liliEnsure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements/liliIdentify and report adverse events and product complaints/liliTroubleshoot issues and escalate as needed/liliMaintain knowledge of program policies and processes/liliSupport onboarding and training of new employees/liliMeet quality standards and KPIs/liliPerform additional duties as assigned/li/ulpSchedule/pulliAvailable for an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM 8:00 PM EST/liliAbility to work varying shifts, including evenings as needed/liliRemote role requiring a compliant home workspace/li/ulpRequired Qualifications/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent/lili35+ years of experience in medical billing, reimbursement, or insurance verification/liliRobust understanding of payer coverage and reimbursement (medical and pharmacy)/liliExperience in a contact center or patient support environment/liliProficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems/liliStrong written and verbal communication skills/liliHigh attention to detail and multitasking ability/liliAbility to work independently in a virtual environment/liliProblem-solving and solution-oriented mindset/liliKnowledge of HIPAA and data privacy requirements/liliMust reside in the country where the role is posted/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliAssociate or Bachelors degree/liliExperience in a Patient Support Services (Hub) environment with focus on rare diseases/liliHealthcare or pharmaceutical customer service experience/li/ulpThis role is posted under a market-aligned title to better reflect the scope and candidate profile.
