Children’s Therapy Place, Inc. is recruiting for a Behavioral Interventionist at our Nampa clinic. We are an outpatient pediatric therapy practice with locations in the Treasure Valley and Magic Valley, providing speech, occupational, physical, and mental health services, along with behavioral and developmental support.

The Behavioral Interventionist (BI) role includes multiple levels based on education and experience, including Intervention Specialist and Intervention Professional positions. Placement within the BI role is determined by qualifications, credentials, and experience. Additionally, a provisional Intervention Technician role is available for individuals working toward meeting the qualifications of an Intervention Specialist.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 behavior intervention to clients, between the ages of 3 to 21, with developmental disabilities.
- Record daily data and keep detailed notes during therapy sessions.
- Maintain open communication with clients and families on a set caseload. Provide family training when needed.
- Work in collaboration with designated Clinical Supervisor in order to support with service plans and continue to meet all clients' needs, and to collaborate with other team members and departments.
- Support any behavioral needs, including addressing and following plans for maladaptive behaviors for client in multiple settings - community, school, and home.
- Transport clients during therapy sessions to any necessary settings/services.
Intervention Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service Field, or Bachelor’s Degree in a non-human service related field with a minimum of 24 upper division semester credits in a human services field
- 1,040 hours of supervised experience working with individuals from birth to age 21 who demonstrate functional or behavioral needs
- Completion of a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training prior to start date, or eligibility under an Idaho-issued Habilitative Intervention (HI) certificate obtained prior to July 1, 2019
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and active car insurance
Pay Rate: Starting $22 per billable hour - DOE
Intervention Professional Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related human services field with a minimum of 24 upper division semester credits in a human services field
- 1,200 hours of relevant experience implementing comprehensive behavioral therapies for individuals with functional or behavioral needs
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and active car insurance
Pay Rate: Starting $29 per billable hour - DOE
Intervention Technician Requirements:
- Must meet all IS qualifications within 18 months
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service Field, OR currently enrolled in a Bachelor program and within 18 months of graduating.
- Willing to complete a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training within 30 days after start date.
- Ability to gain 1,040 hours of qualifying supervised experience within 18 months of start date.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and active car insurance
Pay Rate: $19 per billable hour
