Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking qualified candidates for a travel position with a focus on critical care. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in Adult Critical Care, particularly in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. Candidates must hold a valid Washington State License and be prepared to float to various campuses, including Swedish Issaquah.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00)
• Weekend Coverage: Variable

Patient Care Responsibilities

The selected candidate will manage a patient load that includes:

• Patient Volume: 5 ventilators
• Rooms: 500
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Key responsibilities include:

• Airway Management Devices and Suctioning: Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal and Oral airway placement, and Tracheostomy care.
• Medication Administration: Experience with medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Nitric Oxide, and others.
• Medication Delivery Systems: Proficient in various delivery methods including aerosol setups and nebulizers.
• Ventilator Management: Handling BiPAP, CPAP, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms.
• Patient Assessment: ABG interpretation and Basic EKG skills required.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years in PICU/Adult Critical Care required
• Licenses/Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
• Preferred Experience: Pulmonary Function Test Lab and Emergency Department experience
• Required Skills: Ability to float to various units, with PICU experience being essential.

Additional Information

Expected candidates must be flexible with scheduling and weekend coverage. All submissions must include responses to whether candidates have previously worked in a permanent capacity or on a travel contract. Two references covering at least one year of experience will be required.
