Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial insurance experience (independent agency background preferred)
• Active Property & Casualty license (will consider candidates who can obtain one promptly)
• Expertise in commercial property & casualty insurance, especially small business accounts
• Strong communication, client service, and organizational skills
• Experience handling transportation, trucking, and E&S business is a plus
• Familiarity with agency management systems (Applied Epic experience preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines

Commercial Lines Account Manager Preferred Background & Skills

• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
• Experience with multi-carrier placement and small commercial business
• Proactive, organized, and client-focused mindset

Commercial Lines Account Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage and support a dedicated book of commercial insurance accounts
• Handle renewals, endorsements, certificates, billing inquiries, and general client needs
• Review customer exposures and recommend appropriate coverage
• Work directly with carriers, wholesalers, and underwriters to secure competitive insurance solutions
• Identify retention, cross-sell, and account growth opportunities
• Maintain accurate documentation in the agency management system
• Build and nurture relationships with both clients and carrier partners
