Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Sec I-Intake/Sched (35).


In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for registering and scheduling patients in the appropriate IT system, organizing daily patient schedules, triaging incoming patient reports to appropriate locations, preparation of slides/graphics for presentation at meetings and lectures, answering phones, preparation of billing information for billing services, obtaining and documenting insurance pre-authorizations and pre-certifications and facilitating physician and patient administrative needs

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs other related duties and needed by providers and supervisors.
• Assists with the completion of special projects, reports or activities. Ensure requested and related information is accurate and complete. Brings problems or questions to supervisor's attention. Submits data to supervisor neat and well-written.
• Maintains workload statistic and other data for departmental records. Records statistics in established time intervals designed by supervisor. Follows instructions given by supervisor and prepares information neatly.
• May assist, provide guidance and /or train less senior staff with completing intake or scheduling related suties
• Maintain supplies and cleanliness of space, restocks supplies as needed. Notify supervisor of any shortage of supplies.
• Types routine materials neatly, accurately and according to instructions.
• Answers patient questions, including those in regards to forms, insurance and billing to ensure understanding and patient satisfaction, or refers them to more senior level staff. Maintains confidentiality on matters to which they are privileged.
• Answer calls, handles calls, take proper messages and relay according to protocol.
• Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments. Ensure each appointment is made thoroughly with all demographics, insurance and physicians information . Notify appropriate staff members according to protocol.
• Scan all necessary documents into intake system.
• Process Medical Record Requests
• Collect and documents patient financial responsibilities.
• Monitors intake WQ for timely intake completion
• Educate, activate and engage patients with MyChart
• Provides reception assistance. Check In and Out Patients using proper technologies such as Patient Secure and ensuring all forms, referrals, and authorizations are collected.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills and strong customer service orientation required. Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and Internet applications required. Light, accurate keyboarding skills required. Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment.
