The successful candidate will be responsible for patient admissions and discharges, conducting nursing assessments, and delivering both Phase I and Phase II postoperative care.Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct thorough nursing admission assessments for surgical patients.\n Provide Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia care.\n Administer IV therapy and perform IV starts.\n Educate patients on postoperative care and recovery procedures.\n Collaborate effectively with nursing and physician colleagues to ensure optimal patient outcomes.\n Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including pre-operative tasks.\n Manage a patient ratio of 1:8 in an outpatient setting, serving up to 17 patients per day.\n Qualifications\n \n Minimum of 2 years of experience in Same Day Surgery required.\n Experience in a rural or outpatient facility is essential.\n Proven experience in admitting and discharging patients.\n In-depth knowledge of Phase I and II post-anesthesia care.\n Familiarity with Cerner EMR system is required.\n Travel experience is highly preferred.\n Must possess a valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.\n Candidates must have reliable transportation, as public transport is not available in the area.\n Schedule Requirements\n \n Work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with call responsibilities.\n Availability for on-call shifts for 2-3 days per week is required.\n Must be able to take call two weekends per month.\n Must work during major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.\n Additional Information\n Orientation will be provided for 8 hours in a non-billable format.
