Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a hands-on, visible Maintenance Manager to lead a team of 7 Maintenance Technicians and 1 Maintenance Coordinator in a three-shift manufacturing operation. This position will oversee daily maintenance activities, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and maintenance programs while providing consistent leadership and support to the maintenance team.
Requirements of the Maintenance Manager
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience leading, supervising, or managing a maintenance team
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with industrial production equipment and automated machinery
Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, motors, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Experience using a CMMS or computerized work-order system
Ability to troubleshoot breakdowns and identify root causes
Experience with facility maintenance, utilities, contractors, and OEM vendors
Corrugated, packaging, printing, converting, paper, or similar manufacturing experience preferred
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager
Lead and develop 7 Maintenance Technicians and 1 Maintenance Coordinator
Maintain a visible presence among the maintenance team and meet daily with direct reports
Oversee maintenance activities across a three-shift operation
Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime
Monitor equipment reliability, work orders, maintenance priorities, and parts inventory
Coordinate contractors, service providers, and OEM vendors
Partner with Production to address equipment issues and improve uptime
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects
Promote safe work practices and ensure OSHA and company requirements are followed
Organize weekend coverage so technicians understand expectations and leadership support is always available
Work with the Maintenance Coordinator to coordinate weekend coverage
Schedule & Coverage
Monday through Friday, three-shift operation
Saturday maintenance coverage is required
Quarterly Sunday coverage for OEM vendors
Flexible schedule based on business needs
Manager is responsible for ensuring appropriate weekend leadership coverage but is not necessarily required to work every weekend
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $100,000 - $130,000 annually, based on experience
