Athletic Edge Physical Therapy is a cash-based sports and performance practice in San Diego that helps athletes and active adults recover from injury, return to sport, and perform at a higher level than before. Our clients include runners, CrossFit athletes, weightlifters, cyclists, field and court sport athletes, post-operative ACL patients, and active adults who refuse to settle for "good enough." Instead of juggling multiple patients at once, you'll work one-on-one with motivated clients in a fully equipped strength and conditioning gym where movement quality, performance, and exceptional patient care come first. If you're passionate about strength training, coaching movement, and helping athletes perform at their highest level, you'll fit right in. What You'll Do Every day you'll coach athletes through meaningful rehabilitation—not just supervise exercises. Your responsibilities will include: Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Treat athletes and active adults in one-on-one, 60-minute sessions. Design strength-based rehabilitation and return-to-sport programs. Guide post-operative patients through evidence-based progressions. Perform movement analysis and exercise coaching. Collaborate with our team to deliver exceptional patient experiences. Build long-term relationships through education, accountability, and outstanding communication. Help grow the practice by contributing ideas, participating in community events, and supporting clinic initiatives. Your Typical Caseload May Include ACL reconstruction rehabilitation CrossFit and Olympic lifting injuries Cycling injuries and bike fitting Shoulder and knee athletes Youth athletes Active adults who simply want to keep doing what they love A Mentorship Program You'll Actually Use Whether you're a new graduate or early in your career, you'll receive structured mentorship designed to accelerate your clinical growth. Weekly dedicated one-on-one mentorship meetings during onboarding Real-time case discussions while treating alongside experienced clinicians Clinical reasoning and treatment progression reviews Exercise prescription coaching Running gait analysis ACL rehabilitation progression Return-to-sport testing Bike fitting education Performance testing using VALD technology Gradual transition toward greater independence Ongoing quarterly career development meetings You'll never be expected to "figure it out on your own." We're Looking for Someone Who... Is a licensed Physical Therapist (or eligible for California licensure) Minimum: 1 year experience in outpatient orthopedic setting, preferred if in sports setting. Send us either your 1 RM deadlift, squat, or 5k run time. AND tell us who your avatar is, who is your ideal client.
