ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (CLINICAL X SERIES) - PEDIATRIC UROLOGIST

Our organization is seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Clinical X series, specializing in Pediatric Urology. Faculty members in this series are expected to demonstrate professional expertise, engage in teaching, conduct research, and contribute to both university and public service.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical and surgical abilities in pediatric urology, with a particular interest in treating patients with intricate medical conditions. Responsibilities will include participation in multi-disciplinary clinics designed to manage complex issues such as Disorders of Sexual Development (DSD), Spina Bifida, Bladder Exstrophy, and Cloacal Anomalies.

Beyond patient care, this role will involve clinical research, educational responsibilities, and service commitments. The selected individual will be responsible for teaching and mentoring a variety of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, and PA/NP students. Active involvement in relevant professional societies and educational organizations is anticipated, along with contributions to departmental and university committees to support public service and scholarly activities.

The successful applicant must promote a collaborative atmosphere and work effectively in a diverse environment that encourages team-based science and multi-disciplinary patient care. Adherence to university policies and sensitivity to the needs of patients from various backgrounds are essential.

This recruitment is specifically for the assistant/associate rank, and the selected candidate will be appointed at this level, irrespective of their qualifications.

The estimated salary range for this position is between $346,267 and $634,016, and it includes participation in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Possession of an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree

• Completion of an ACGME accredited pediatric urology fellowship

• Board certification or eligibility in Urology and Pediatric Urology

• Eligibility for full and unrestricted medical licensure in California

• Demonstrated strong clinical and surgical skills in pediatric urology

• Evidence of teaching experience in diverse settings

• Proven record of professional and/or scholarly accomplishments

• Publications in medical literature showcasing scholarly work

• The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

• Advanced training in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques is highly preferred

• A strong desire and capability to treat patients with complex disorders is highly preferred
