Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Surgery and Operating Room Circulating RN experience required. Cannot consider Pre-Op, Post-Op, Endoscopy/GI, or PACU RNs.
• North Carolina State License or Compact License with North Carolina endorsement upon hire.
• Must be comfortable circulating in orthopedic, general surgery, da Vinci, and some OB/GYN procedures.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Job Description:
Registered Nurse, Surgery opportunity with well known Health System, part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with facilities coast to coast. Schedule is typically 7:00am to 3:30pm, plus 1-2 call shifts per week, with a 30-minute call-back response time.

Our Operating Room is a collaborative, fast-paced environment with five ORs supporting a wide range of surgical services, primarily orthopedic and general surgery, with some OB/GYN procedures. Three ORs run full time, and team members may also float to Endoscopy, offering variety and the opportunity to grow within perioperative care. Rutherford Regional recently expanded access to advanced surgical care with the addition of the da Vinci Surgical System, a robotic-assisted technology designed to support minimally invasive procedures with enhanced precision.

As a Registered Nurse on the Operating Room team, you'll perform thorough pre-, intra-, and post-operative assessments to ensure safe patient care, anticipate the needs of the surgical team and support efficient workflow, provide age- and procedure-appropriate nursing care throughout the perioperative process, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to deliver high-quality outcomes.
