Senior Professional Quality Assurance Job Overview This role focuses on leading quality-related activities to ensure compliant, high-quality processes, documents, and products for Abbott Diabetes Care. The position oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Troubleshooting Guidelines (TSGs), while managing workflows, change requests, and cross‑functional projects to meet timelines and regulatory regulations. Responsibilities Carry out core job responsibilities with minimal supervision. Oversee development of Troubleshooting Guidelines (TSG) for Abbott Diabetes Care products and ensure timely implementation. Prepare required items to meet TSG deployment deadlines. Use and manage electronic workflow systems, ensuring data accuracy. Manage the TSG change‑request process, including scrum meetings and backlog grooming. Work closely with program managers or project leads on process transformation projects. Identify and elevate areas for continuous improvement and manage improvement activities for the department. Represent the team on cross‑functional teams with other functional leaders. Interpret project schedules, elevate timeline risks, and follow through on deadlines and adjustments. Lead cross‑functional or broader‑scope goals as needed. Participate in Quality System processes such as training, CAPA, product and process planning, quality audits, and validation. Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the Quality System. Required Qualifications BS degree in life sciences or engineering. 5+ years of experience in Quality or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated accountability, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy. Strong problem‑solving techniques and initiative. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. Solid organizational skills with flexibility to realign priorities quickly. Effective project management skills: planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management. Adaptability and resilience, openness to change. Experience in a GMP environment. Knowledge of FDA Quality System Requirements for Medical Devices. Knowledge of ISO 13485. Leadership qualities, persuasion, and team empowerment.
