Job Title: Service Shop Manager Location: Laye’s Tire Service – Avon Park, FL Reports To: Ownership Team Job Type: Full-Time About Us Laye’s Tire Service is a trusted name in Avon Park for honest, hometown auto repair and tire services. We're looking for a dedicated Service Shop Manager to lead our team and help continue the tradition of top-tier service that our community relies on. Position Summary The Service Shop Manager is responsible for the daily operations of Laye’s Tire Service. From leading a team of technicians to providing exceptional customer service, this role ensures that every vehicle is serviced efficiently and every customer leaves satisfied. Responsibilities Manage a team of automotive service professionals to ensure a high level of vehicle service and customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability. Ensure comprehensive vehicle inspections are performed in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are safely & thoroughly completed in a timely manner. Mentor employees on best practices for improving service, sales and customer service techniques. Oversee day-to-day operations of the service department. Manage the flow of service department paperwork, including work orders, inventory, invoices and maintenance records. Benefits Monday - Friday schedule (no weekends). Life Insurance. 401(k) matching. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Valid state‑issued driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug and background screening. At least two years of experience as a service writer or service advisor is required; experience as an automotive service manager is preferred.
