The Assistant Inventory Manager supports terminal operations by ensuring accurate, safe, and cost-effective management of spare parts and warehouse inventory in alignment with APM Terminals' global asset management standards. You will partner closely with Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, and HSSE teams to balance parts availability with inventory optimization, enabling equipment reliability and safe operations across critical terminal assets.

In this role, you will apply a criticality-based approach to ensure spare parts availability while balancing inventory cost, safety, and asset reliability. You will work closely with Asset Management, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, and HSSE to ensure inventory practices align with maintenance requirements, safety standards, and operational priorities.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate and timely inventory records, coordinating cycle counts, supporting annual physical inventory processes, monitoring slow-moving and obsolete inventory, tracking stock levels, ensuring parts availability to support maintenance, developing inventory KPIs, coordinating with Procurement, promoting safe warehouse operations, and communicating parts availability and delivery status.

We are looking for someone with a continuous improvement mindset, a college degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on inventory and warehouse experience. You should have 23 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or maintenance support within a marine, industrial, or asset-intensive environment, experience working with CMMS or ERP systems, strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, effective communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management reporting tools.

Salary: $75K - $85K. Location: Miami, FL. Physical Demands & Work Environment include standing, walking, lifting, and occasional work outdoors in varying weather conditions. During peak operational periods, flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays may be required.
