Phlebotomist - Float

LabCorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. We are seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Cedar Hill, TX. The position requires a flexible schedule and potential overtime. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed with reliable transportation. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 21 years of age or older. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment; comfortable working under minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital environment. 1 or more years of experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric‑geriatric). Current or prior LabCorp experience. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is required. Will cover sites in Cedar Hill, TX and surrounding areas (approximate 50+ mile radius). Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
