Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services to join our team at the Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our food and nutrition services, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
• Leadership: Assist the Director of Food & Nutrition Services in developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, and procedures to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the food and nutrition services, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all food and nutrition services meet our high standards for quality, safety, and sanitation.
• Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Budgeting: Assist with budget planning and management, ensuring that food and nutrition services are provided within budget constraints.
• Customer Service: Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and staff, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Requirements:
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in food and nutrition services, with a strong background in management.
• Certifications: Food Safety Certification, ServSafe, or equivalent.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
