Job Posting: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – School-Based 1:1 Student Support

Location: Vallejo, CA
Pay Rate: Up to $40 per hour
Schedule: School hours, Monday–Friday (37.5 hours/day)
Position Type: Contract / School-Based Assignment

InSync Consulting Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to support students in a school setting in Vallejo, CA.

This position typically involves providing 1:1 nursing support to students who are medically fragile and may require ongoing care throughout the school day. The LVN will work closely with school staff, families, and the student’s care team to help ensure the student’s health, safety, and access to education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to a medically fragile student during the school day
• Monitor student health status and respond to changes appropriately
• Assist with medical needs such as G-tube care, trach care, seizure monitoring, medication administration, and other delegated nursing tasks as applicable
• Follow the student’s care plan and physician orders
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Communicate with school staff, parents/guardians, and clinical supervisors as needed
• Support the student’s participation in classroom and school activities
• Follow all district, state, and nursing compliance requirements

Requirements

• Active California LVN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience with pediatric, school-based, or medically fragile student care preferred
• Comfortable working in a school environment
• Strong communication, reliability, and documentation skills
• Must meet all school district onboarding and background check requirements
• Ability to pass fingerprint background check

Preferred Experience

• 1:1 student nursing
• Trach, vent, G-tube, seizure care, diabetes care, or other high-acuity pediatric support
• Prior school-based nursing experience
