Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (Tooling)
Location: Appleton, WI
Pay Rate: $33 41/hr
Salary: $75K 85K
Job Summary:
Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong shop-floor experience in tooling and fixture design. The role focuses on designing manufacturing, assembly, welding, and inspection fixtures using SolidWorks, improving production processes, and driving Lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design 3D fixtures, assemblies, and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks and GD&T.
- Support fixture trials, validation, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
- Conduct Time Studies, Line Balancing, VSM, and capacity analysis.
- Identify bottlenecks, waste, and process improvement opportunities.
- Develop Standard Work and Video Work Instructions.
- Perform RCA and support Kaizen/continuous improvement activities.
- Improve productivity, quality, and process capability through effective tooling solutions.
Required Skills:
SolidWorks, Fixture Design, GD&T, Shop-Floor Experience, Time Study, Line Balancing, VSM, Lean Manufacturing, Work Instructions, RCA, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
