Supervising Pharmacist

Now Hiring a Supervising Pharmacist with an active Connecticut Pharmacist License to oversee pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a high-performing pharmacy team. This role is ideal for an experienced pharmacist ready to take on a leadership position in Connecticut. Full-time Monday through Friday/Flexible full-time hours.
Position Overview
The Supervising Pharmacist (also known as Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist-in-Charge ) is responsible for managing daily pharmacy operations while ensuring full compliance with Connecticut State Board of Pharmacy , DEA , and federal regulations. This role combines clinical excellence, leadership, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff
- Ensure compliance with Connecticut pharmacy laws and regulations
- Oversee prescription dispensing, verification, and quality assurance
- Maintain accurate records, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Provide patient counseling and medication therapy management (MTM)
- Manage inventory, ordering, and controlled substance accountability
- Train, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff
- Collaborate with prescribers, vendors, and healthcare partners
Required Qualifications
- Active Connecticut (CT) Pharmacist License – required
- PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited school
- Strong knowledge of CT pharmacy regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
