Overview Production Planning Supervisor - Industrial Manufacturing Location: Augusta, GA Direct Hire Relocation Support A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a Production Planning Supervisor to lead a team responsible for production scheduling, material planning, and manufacturing execution support. This position offers the opportunity to influence production performance, improve planning processes, and help drive operational excellence within a complex manufacturing environment. The role combines hands-on planning responsibilities with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team responsible for production planning and scheduling activities Coordinate production schedules to align customer demand, material availability, labor capacity, and manufacturing priorities Monitor schedule performance and proactively identify risks that could impact delivery commitments Partner with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve production constraints Maintain planning parameters including lead times, safety stock levels, lot sizing, and planning data accuracy Analyze production and inventory metrics to improve schedule attainment, inventory performance, and on-time delivery Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning effectiveness, operational efficiency, and process standardization Support forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management efforts Required Qualifications Experience leading production planning, production control, scheduling, or supply chain teams within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, and capacity planning Experience utilizing Oracle ERP Supply Chain and Manufacturing applications Ability to balance changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing operation Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting high-mix manufacturing environments Knowledge of S&OP processes Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience Why Consider This Opportunity Visible leadership role with direct impact on manufacturing performance Opportunity to mentor and develop planning professionals Significant involvement in production strategy and operational improvement initiatives Long-term career growth within a stable industrial manufacturing environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
