Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiothoracic Stepdown position requiring extensive surgical and telemetry experience, including prior LVAD experience and certification.

Details

• Cardiothoracic Stepdown unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes post open heart surgery, heart transplant, LVAD, leg bypass, rib resection, and pneumonectomy cases
• Telemetry monitoring required for cardiac and surgical patient population
• Day shift: 07:00–19:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• LVAD experience and LVAD certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Extensive experience with surgical patient populations required
• Telemetry experience required
• Valid Driver's License required for consideration
• US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide stepdown-level nursing care to post-surgical cardiac and thoracic patients, including LVAD and heart transplant cases
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
