Director Supply Chain

Abbott seeks a Director of Supply Chain to lead supply chain operations across assigned product lines and value streams in Plymouth, Minnesota. The role oversees demand planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and team performance metrics while driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain managers and individual contributors across demand planning, purchasing, scheduling, inventory, and logistics
- Partner with stakeholders to drive process improvement and achieve business objectives aligned with operating plans
- Develop and communicate resource optimization and inventory plans to maintain service levels
- Prepare supply chain budgets and annual plans for assigned product lines; analyze recommendations and obtain buy-in
- Hire, retain, and provide performance feedback to diverse staff while maintaining safe, professional work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain; 16+ years related experience
- Minimum 12 years supply chain experience with progressive responsibility growth
- 7+ years leading and managing supply chain teams
- 5+ years in medical device or highly regulated industry
- 7+ years working with supply chain software systems
- Global supply chain experience including compliance, quality systems, and lifecycle planning
- Strong leadership, communication, and ability to work in matrixed environments
Compensation: $149,300–$298,700 base
