Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician. The RN demonstrates knowledge of current principles, theories, and techniques in nursing practice.
Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with patients, families/significant others, peers, and members of the healthcare team to provide individualized care. The RN also supervises nursing support staff in accordance with professional standards and institutional policies.
Specialized education, training, or certifications may be required depending on the specialty area. The RN adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the clinical specialty preferred
- Current PA Registered Nurse License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
