The Banquet Server plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during events and functions within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for setting up banquet rooms, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests receive attentive and courteous service throughout the event. The Banquet Server collaborates closely with kitchen staff, event coordinators, and other service team members to maintain smooth operations and uphold high standards of hospitality. Attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate guest needs are essential to creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Ultimately, the Banquet Server contributes significantly to the success of events by providing efficient, friendly, and seamless service that enhances guest satisfaction.

Prepare banquet rooms by setting tables, arranging chairs, and ensuring all necessary service items are in place according to event specifications.

Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously to guests during events, following proper serving protocols and safety standards.

Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet events, including cleaning and resetting rooms after service.

Collaborate with kitchen and event staff to coordinate timing and delivery of menu items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.

Respond to guest inquiries and requests professionally, addressing any concerns to ensure a positive experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred but not required.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in banquet or event service environments.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

Certification in food handling or hospitality service.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Multilingual abilities to assist diverse guest populations.

Stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods (up to 810 hours per shift).

Lift, carry, and transport up to 30 lbs. (trays, bus tubs, beverage cases).

Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and carrying service items.

Manual dexterity to handle glassware, flatware, and POS equipment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: $8.00/Hour + gratuity
