Shipping & Receiving Clerk
- Pay: $19-21 per hour
- Shift: 1st (7:30am-5:30pm) (Fridays- 7:30am-12:30pm)
- Monday-Friday
Job Summary
We are urgently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a manufacturing facility in Arlington. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, strong computer skills, and sit-down forklift experience. This position requires excellent attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse without climate control.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders according to customer and company requirements.
- Create and process shipping labels and shipping documentation.
- Enter shipping and receiving information accurately using Microsoft Office and company computer systems.
- Load and unload trucks using a sit-down forklift when needed.
- Organize inventory and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Shipping & Receiving experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse or manufacturing environment required.
- Sit-down forklift experience required.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience creating shipping labels and processing shipping documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
- Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and lifting.
- Must have the stamina to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment without air conditioning or heat.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day.
