Job Details Level: Experienced | Job Location: Jawonio Inc - NEW CITY, NY 10956 | Education Level: Graduate Degree | Salary Range: $83,000.00 - $83,000.00 Purpose The Clinical Supervisor will align their scope of work with Jawonio’s Mission, while incorporating Jawonio’s Core Values as the guiding principle for all work activities. Summary Serves as a member of the program’s management team and provides leadership for clinical practice and service quality within an outpatient Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) program. The Clinical Supervisor holds primary responsibility for clinical oversight, staff development, evidence‑based practice implementation, and clinical decision‑making, while also participating in program operations and compliance activities. This role provides clinical supervision to multidisciplinary staff, supports regulatory compliance, and promotes recovery‑oriented, person‑centered care for individuals with serious mental illness. Responsibilities Oversee and manage the delivery of mental health services and the daily operations of the PROS and CORE program. Provide weekly clinical and task supervision to PROS clinicians and peer specialists in the CORE program while supporting staff development. Provide clinical/managerial coverage for the program in the absence of and in addition to the Director of Behavioral Health Services. Monitor and review assessments, treatment plans, discharge plans and clinical documentation to ensure quality and compliance with regulatory standards. Audit and monitor PROS groups to ensure quality of service delivery and alignment with curriculum and PROS standards. Respond to clinical crises and provide consultation, guidance and support as needed with complex cases across the program. Establish and monitor clinical standards of practice across the program. Co‑lead daily team and clinical meetings. Seek out new knowledge and approaches to enhance services and delivery. Ensure staff development of evidence‑based practices and psychiatric rehabilitation. Train, mentor, and support staff in recovery‑oriented practices, crisis intervention, and evidence‑based approaches. Embrace a team approach by attending and participating in all staff meetings and mentoring new staff. Attend all required interdisciplinary and team conferences and special meetings both inside and outside the agency. Complete performance evaluations and provide necessary feedback regarding performance issues, developing plans for improvement when needed. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team environment. Collaborate closely with the Director of Behavioral Health Services to improve service delivery and clinical outcomes. Communicate and work with participants, their families and professional staff (both internal and external) to help ensure participant growth and recovery. Carry a limited‑size caseload of program participants, conducting individual therapy and utilizing psychiatric rehabilitation practices. Provide ongoing counseling/therapy and support related to mental health impairments, specific to each participant’s needs; coach and use motivational techniques to help consumers develop to their potential. Conduct PROS groups, counseling/teaching by facilitating the specific Personalized Recovery Oriented Services curriculum. Provide group coverage when needed. Model appropriate and acceptable social and work skills. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D.), LCSW or LMHC with a minimum of 3 years experience in a mental health or rehabilitative setting serving consumers with mental health disability, including 2 years supervisory oversight of staff. Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and practices is preferred. Strong knowledge of evidence‑based practices. Strong leadership experience in the mental health field and solid organizational skills. Knowledge of applicable program standards and regulations. Additional Requirements Daily access to an automobile is required. Valid NY State Driver’s License and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage. Must remain current in all agency‑required trainings. Must be cleared and maintain an acceptable record under the state‑mandated criminal background check and Medicaid Fraud & Abuse clearance processes. Must be able to flex regular schedule to accommodate meeting and event times, including occasional evening, weekend and holiday work. Physical Demands & Work Environment The work environment may involve occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is usually moderate. Individuals may need to stand, sit, walk, lift up to 10 pounds, use hands for finger or reach, and communicate verbally and in writing.
