Construction Superintendent

Superintendent Orlando, FL Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 Our client is a design-build commercial construction and real estate development firm that has been building in Central Florida for nearly 25 years. With an in-house team of architects, contractors, and real estate professionals, the company manages projects from concept through completion under a single point of contact, delivering ground-up and tenant improvement work on time and on budget. Healthcare construction is one of the firm's core specialties, with a long track record delivering Class A medical office space for regional and national health systems. The company continues to grow while maintaining a close-knit, in-house team culture built on integrity, leadership, and long-term client relationships. This role sits within the company's core commercial construction division, working alongside the in-house design-build team on larger Class A tenant improvement and ground-up projects. It is not part of the firm's separate Select Projects group, which handles smaller-scale, quick-turn work. The Superintendent will start on a run of medical tenant improvement projects in the Orlando area. All of the company's work is based in Central Florida, so this role requires no travel. What You'll Do Oversee day-to-day field operations for tenant improvement and ground-up commercial projects, beginning with a series of medical tenant improvement projects in Orlando. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring work meets plans, specifications, and applicable code requirements. Maintain project schedules, proactively identifying and resolving delays. Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Manage work in and around active, occupied medical facilities, coordinating with office staff to minimize disruption to patient care. Conduct quality control walkthroughs and manage the punch list through project closeout. Communicate daily progress, schedule updates, and field issues to the project management team. Maintain accurate daily logs, safety documentation, and project records. What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects; tenant improvement and/or healthcare or medical office experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of construction means and methods, blueprint reading, and local building codes. Experience coordinating trades in occupied or phased environments. Strong communication and leadership skills, comfortable managing multiple subcontractors and trades at once. OSHA 30 certification, or willingness to obtain one. Proficiency with scheduling and project management software. A valid driver's license. What You'll Gain Competitive salary of $80,000 to $100,000, based on experience.
