Emergency Room Crisis Counselor / LICSW - Behavioral Health ED

Responsibilities Complete psychiatric crisis assessments for adult and pediatric Emergency Department patients Perform biopsychosocial assessments and behavioral health evaluations Provide level-of-care recommendations to physicians and nursing staff Coordinate inpatient psychiatric referrals, safety planning, and discharge planning Complete Single Bed Certification (SBC) assessments when psychiatrists are unavailable Initiate Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) evaluations when clinically indicated Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary ED and behavioral health teams Support patients and families with counseling, treatment planning, and care navigation Participate in treatment planning and ongoing care coordination Document assessments, recommendations, and care coordination activities within Epic EMR Requirements Active Washington LICSW, LMFT, or Mental Health Counselor license BLS certification Minimum 1 year of experience required Experience conducting psychiatric/crisis assessments for adult and pediatric patients Emergency Department or hospital behavioral health experience preferred Experience with involuntary holds / psychiatric emergency workflows preferred Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity behavioral health environments #J-18808-Ljbffr Medasource
