Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide customer service for utility customers, business owners and other City personnel, in person and over the phone. Maintain cash drawer, balanced daily, to include payments received over-the-counter, through the mail, via credit card or other electronic means. Assist in preparation of utility delinquent payment processing lists and letters. Process business license applications for new and existing businesses. Minimum Training and Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent. One year responsible clerical experience with public contact. Previous experience in a billing or customer service environment preferred. Basic understanding of computer systems, email, spreadsheet & word processing software. Work Environment The office environment is typical with no unusual requirements. Some exposure to irate customers in person and via phone may cause some discomfort, but pose no risk of injury. Some travel between City facilities may be required.
