Oncology Surgical Oncologist Opportunity

The Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center is currently recruiting for a fellowship trained Surgical Oncologist. Applicant must be American Board Certified in General Surgery and be eligible for a Texas Medical License. Successful candidates will be committed to patient care, resident, and medical student education and scholarly activity that advance clinical medicine. Candidates will be an integral member of the surgical oncology team. The position will entail clinical responsibilities at both Parkland Memorial Health and Hospital System and Clements University Hospital. Specifically, the position entails the treatment of patients with upper gastrointestinal and hepato-pancreato-biliary malignancies. A commitment to basic or clinical research is essential and will be supported. UT Southwestern ranks among the top academic medical centers in the world. Our physicians provide care to patients at UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics as well as three other affiliated hospitals. Parkland Memorial Hospital is one of the three teaching facilities at UT Southwestern Medical Center and as the safety-net hospital for Dallas County cares for 725 new breast cancer patients annually in the Moody Center for Breast Health opened in 2020.
