The Associate Cardiovascular Special Procedure Technologist assists in performing advanced diagnostic and invasive procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Under the supervision of leadership and the care team, the Associate Cardiovascular Special Procedure Technologist monitors patient conditions, ensures equipment readiness, and assists in patient positioning, while adhering to safety and sterile protocols in the cardiac catheterization lab. This role is an entry-level position with a focus on gaining hands‑on experience in the cardiovascular specialty. Position Details Position Description: Associate Cardiovascular (SPT) Location: On‑Site Type: Full Time - Days Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00a-5:30pm (10‑hour shifts) On Call: Not required. $10,000 Sign on Bonus Incentive included! Certification: ARRT (R) or RCIS; Basic Life Support (BLS) Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Cardiovascular Special Proc Technologist Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience. Certification: ARRT (R) or RCIS; Basic Life Support (BLS) Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Advanced Cardiovascular Special Proc Technologist Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience. Certification: ARRT (R) or RCIS; Basic Life Support (BLS) Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Senior Cardiovascular Special Proc Technologist Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience. Certification: ARRT (R) and one advanced registry (CI or VI) or RCIS or ARRT (R) and 5 years relevant experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Transforming the Health of Our Communities Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes. In 1843, the Sisters of Mercy came to the United States. In 1856, they traveled to St. Louis. In the years to come, they would establish hospitals throughout the Midwest.
