Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Licensed Hair Stylists to join our team (strong color skills or a colorist background are a plus). In this role, you will deliver high-end hair services in a structured, professional environment alongside our Salon Manager, who handles booking flow, scheduling, and client support.

Core Abilities - Expertise in any one of these areas is an added plus

Cutting & Styling Execution

• Deliver precise haircuts, blowouts, silk presses, updos, and custom styling.
• Execute services for both long and short hair; and/or the ability to install custom weaves; and/or perform advanced silk press techniques.
• Ensure every guest feels welcomed, heard, and cared for in alignment with The Hair Boothe standards and culture.
• Recommend home-care follow-up routines and recommend retail products to maintain hair health and style longevity.

Custom Color & Technical Execution (This requirement is for colorists only)

• Provide expert color consultations, analyzing client hair integrity, history, and desired aesthetic.
• Execute advanced color services, including balayage, highlights, double processes, color corrections, root touch-ups, and custom toning.
• Formulate and apply high-quality hair color and back-bar treatments tailored to individual client needs.

Retention & Station Care

• Build and maintain strong client retention through exceptional service and rebooking strategies.
• Collaborate with the Stylist Director on technique refinement and continuous professional development.
• Maintain clean, polished, and organized station standards throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Cosmetology License (required).
• Verifiable professional salon experience with a strong portfolio.
• Current book of business is a strong plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, emotional maturity, punctuality, and a polished approach to self-care and client care.
