About This Role The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring quality care by managing and leading the staff, while also assuming administrative and clinical responsibilities in the absence of higher management. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to take on leadership responsibilities in a supportive environment. Highlights Location: Belle Mead, NJ Schedule: Per Diem, Days What You'll Do Manage and lead nursing staff to ensure quality patient care. Assume administrative and clinical responsibilities in the absence of the Vice President of Patient Care Services. Monitor and assure patient care is provided in a safe and healing environment. Act as a liaison with Access staff regarding admissions and EMTALA compliance. Direct and coordinate interventions during emergency situations. Supervise nursing staff during respective shifts. Assist with chart reviews and audits for compliance with regulations. Monitor and investigate environmental and safety hazards. Resolve conflicts diplomatically with patients, families, and staff. Mentor, coach, and motivate staff regarding performance and conduct. Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree and graduate of an accredited RN program Experience: Minimum of 3 years psychiatric experience 1 year in a leadership capacity Licenses & Certifications: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License Valid Driver's License from a USA state AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 90 days of entering position Psychiatric - Mental Health Nursing or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification preferred IV Therapy preferred About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
