Pasta Maker & Prep Cook (Full-Time)

Job Description: Zero Zero is looking for someone to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role focused on morning prep - making our fresh pasta, preparing house-made sauces, and mixing and baking our focaccia. We are also looking for someone with solid line experience who can jump in and help our service team when needed. This is a production-driven role with high standards for consistency and quality. We prioritize elevated and local ingredients and are seeking someone equally excited about our mission. Key Responsibilities Pasta Production Make fresh pasta daily, including hand-filled and extruded shapes. Operate the extruder and maintain equipment and die cleanliness. Package fresh pasta for service and retail. Prepare house-made sauces, fillings, and seasonal menu components. Execute daily production of focaccia and other dough-based items. Perform precise knife work and portioning for various restaurant needs. Label, date, and rotate all production items according to FIFO standards. Customer Service & Retail Support Engage with customers by answering questions about pasta, sauces, and recommended pairings. Operate the register, process transactions, and assist with retail sales. Prepare and package pasta orders for take-home customers. Maintain a pristine workstation in our open-kitchen environment. Support general cleaning, dishwashing, and equipment maintenance. Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and health code requirements. Follow recipes, prep lists, and restaurant standards with precision. Work collaboratively in a small team setting while also being self-sufficient. Requirements 2 years of professional kitchen experience is required. Solid knife skills and a deep understanding of kitchen fundamentals. High attention to detail for repetitive, high-volume artisan production. Ability to lift 50 lbs to waist height and stand for an 8-hour shift. Reliable and punctual for early morning production starts. Passion for food, fresh pasta, and working with local ingredients.
