After School Shuttle Driver (with CDL)

Description The Driver is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for school age children from 3 local schools to The J. The Driver will use a company-provided 25 passenger bus. Schedule: Part-Time, Mon - Friday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm during the school year, mid August through May. Benefits No evening and No weekends Individual membership to The J Responsibilities Transport school age children from 3 local elementary schools to The J Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers upon pick-up and drop-off Maintain compliance with state regulations regarding the lawful operation of a motor vehicle Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles, inside and out Monitor service schedules for vehicles and inform supervisor when service is needed Monitor fuel levels of company vehicles, purchase fuel as needed and follow all policies for using company purchase card Requirements Current, valid CDL Required High School Diploma or equivalent Age 21 or over At least 3 years of experience safely operating a commercial vehicle Clean driving record with no moving violations within the past three years Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations for the State of Kansas Must be able to safely operate company vehicles in all weather conditions Ability to work with children and provide excellent customer service with kindness, patience and concerns for safety at all times Physical Requirements Position requires travel outdoors in company vehicle, therefore tolerance to extremes of heat and cold weather is necessary. Position requires occasional bending, squatting, sitting, standing, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving items that may weigh up to 25 lbs.
