About the Position

Job Title: RN Neuro PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active Virginia State or Compact RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Cardiac monitoring skills Ability to manage dysrhythmias Experience with IV therapy and blood product administration Respiratory support skills Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Neuro PCU. The shift consists of three 12-hour night shifts. Charting experience with EPIC is required. The RN will be responsible for adult patients with neurological conditions. The patient ratio is 1:4, with the possibility of floating to units within the clinical skillset. The unit includes dedicated beds for continuous epilepsy monitoring. Care includes neurosurgical recovery and stroke management. The facility is a teaching hospital and a Level I Trauma Center, recognized for nursing excellence. Advanced specialty care is available, including comprehensive stroke care 24/7. The RN must work one holiday per 13-week contract. Call-offs are permitted, with a maximum of one shift every two weeks. Requests for time off should be included with the submission.
