A multi-specialty group practice, with several offices in New York City offering a personalized, non-corporate approach and compassionate care, by embracing the contemporary philosophy that primary care should be predictive, rather than reactive is seeking a full time board certified psychiatrist to join the group The outpatient psychiatrist assesses and screens patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing. Analyzes data and results of assessments to diagnose patients. Prescribes and administers medications according to diagnosis. Monitors patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications. Develops treatment plans, measure progress against the plan, and adjusts as needed. Provides crisis intervention as needed. Completes all necessary clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborates with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans. Coordinates and communicates with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care. This is a Monday through Friday office position, no nights, weekends, or call.
