Job Description TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Gilroy, California. Specialty: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 30 hours Shift: 8 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel We’re looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) for an immediate travel opening in Gilroy, CA. The right OTA should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements. Responsibilities Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT. Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments. Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines. Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment. Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care. Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards. Qualifications Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Candidate must hold a current BLS and COTA National certification. State-specific licensure is required. Must be able to lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles. Requirements: NBCOT (COTA), BLS, 1 Year * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
