Pearlview Rehab and Wellness Center treats patients as family members; everyone at Pearlview Rehab and Wellness Center is greeted by name and looked after by a devoted staff of professional and friendly licensed caregivers, specially trained in the most up-to-date methods available to modern medicine.

We are hiring a Full Time Cook to work our 11:30am to 7:30pm shift, every other weekend, every other holiday.

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour

Position Summary:

As a cook you prepare meals for our residents and maintain a clean kitchen. You will use your experience with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware, combined with your knowledge of cooking procedures as a critical part of your role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare and cook meals for residents, keeping in mind dietary needs and special diets.

· Follow recipes and spread sheets.

· Strong working knowledge on proper food storage and preparation

· Knowledge of state Dietary regulation

· Follow work assignments, and/or work schedules in completing and performing assigned tasks.

· Assists in maintaining the dietary department in a safe and sanitary manner and reports any problems to Dietary Manager.

· Attends in-service and other necessary training.

· Communicates and cooperates with the staff, residents, and their families.

· Maintains a clean working area during food production.

· Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.

· Shares responsibility for maintaining a clean and safe environment.

· Reports to work as scheduled and in a timely manner.

· Displays concern and initiative. Is resourceful and calm in emergencies.

Requirements

· Must be able to be on feet standing or walking most of the working day and must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and twist numerous times daily. Must be able to lift 50-60 pounds on occasional basis, sweep and mop floors.

· Must be able to work a variety of shifts. Willing to help Dietary Aids as needed.

Essential Qualifications

· Ability to think and work independently or under the direction of the Dietary Manager and communicate effectively with other team members.
