Associate Director, Clinical Development Trial Lead

The client is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Clinical Development Trial Lead to drive the execution of complex global oncology clinical trials. This contract role is based onsite in Stamford, CT and will involve periodic travel to scientific and regional meetings. The position provides highly visible leadership opportunities to influence clinical development decisions at a global level. Responsibilities will include independently leading cross-functional study teams to develop and execute clinical trials and deliver clinical milestones with quality, on time, and within scope and budget. The role will require independent leadership to proactively identify and resolve issues, apply broad understanding of therapeutic and clinical drug development to influence study design and program-level decisions, and coordinate regional input to support study teams. The associate director will serve as single point of accountability for the Trial Master File for assigned trials, ensure inspection readiness (including timely documentation of deviations and creation of issue summaries for high-risk areas), and report, manage, and interpret trial information for completeness and accuracy across relevant systems. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or health-related field (preferred) and at least 5 years of clinical research and clinical trial experience with strong working knowledge of the clinical research process. Experience with oncology studies across early and late phases is required, along with prior trial site-level or regional/country experience and familiarity with local requirements.
