Job Description
Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool

Schedule

This is a 12-hour day shift position with weekends as scheduled. Typical shifts run from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple units. You will float primarily to the following units: 6N, 7N, 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care, based on patient acuity and staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient conditions and record vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with patient care and provide education to patients and their families.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with cardiac rhythm monitoring is essential.
• Applicants must be able to demonstrate competency in monitoring patients with diagnoses such as CHF, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), oncology, and orthopedic conditions.
• Preferred experience includes the ability to manage CPAP and BiPAP equipment.
