AF Holding Co. is in search of an experienced Accountant to join our team! Salary range: $65,000 to $80,000 Description Responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, supporting workpapers, and tax-related documentation. This role will work closely with internal accounting staff and external independent accountants to support year-end reporting and tax compliance. In addition to financial reporting responsibilities, this position will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, account reconciliations, and treasury-related activities. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to a wide range of accounting functions and long-term growth opportunities within the organization. Responsibilities Prepare and record general ledger entries to accurately reflect accounting activity Compile and analyze monthly financial statements Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and workpapers for financial reporting and tax preparation Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax workpapers for external accountants Research and analyze tax-related issues at both the federal and state level Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close processes Assist with cost analysis and other operational accounting functions Support treasury activities, including cash monitoring and reporting Collaborate with internal team members and external accountants to ensure accurate and timely reporting Identify and recommend process improvements and resolve accounting discrepancies Analyze financial results and provide creative feedback
